The author is a native of Pennsdale, Pennsylvania, with ties to Central Ohio, having resided in the Columbus area for nearly a quarter-century. His interests include military aviation, college and professional football, and issues relating to theology.
A 1992 graduate of Bloomsburg University of PA with a BA in Mass Communications, his career has included time spent working in both the residential construction and insurance industries. He is presently pursuing a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, an endeavor he began in 2006.
The author’s interest in the history of Rickenbacker Air Force Base was sparked in
part by numerous visits to the National Museum of the United States Air Force located
in nearby Dayton. Intrigued by the seemingly forgotten past of Rickenbacker as a
military aviation outpost, he set out to simply locate and purchase a book detailing its enduring history. Much to his surprise one did not exist. After a year of prayer and reflection, he decided to assume the responsibility of delivering a first-ever pictorial tribute for the distinguished facility. What began officially in April of 2005 became reality in October of 2008 when Crossroads of Liberty rolled off the presses. The
author is deeply indebted to numerous individuals and organizations, many formally
recognized in the acknowledgments section of the book.
